Teeth

Isabel has had 8-9 teeth for some time now and she has had several that have been ready to "pop" for awhile. Last week I noticed that the furniture at daycare was rearranged and I didn't think anything of it until one of the other mom's, Shannon said, "Did Barb tell you why the furniture is like this?" Oh great I thought; it turns out Izzy had been pulling herself up on the level up (there is a sunken living room) and biting the floor. Barb has natural hardwood and there are little teeth marks all along the edge of it now. The next day I caught her pulling herself up on the end tables and chewing on them! I think having two "furry brothers" has rubbed off on her! Actually, she went to the doctor on Saturday for a cold and the doctor looked in her mouth and said "Holy teeth!!". I guess she has several molars that are ready to come through too!

Izzy also likes to ride her princess car around the house. She will ride it to her toy basket and try to play with her toys on the car; she always falls off. She also can't figure out how to turn around yet so when she hits the wall we have to run over there and turn her around!

Taking her babies for a walk!

She is getting pretty good walking behind her "baby stroller". She can even go over the rug now!

Isabel loves her musical toys, especially her maracas that she got for Christmas!

Moving

Isabel is almost 11 months old now and she has started "cruising" the furniture. She looks like a little rock climber as she thinks about where her next hand grip will be and where she should put her feet to get where she is going. It is amazing how fast she went from rolling around to crawling like a maniac to standing and now almost walking. She still crawls everywhere but she loves to stand and pull herself up on everything.

Flu

We have had the stomach flu at our house this week and it has been awful. I got it last Sunday and I thought we were in the clear because no one else got it but Isabel woke up sick on Thursday night. She has been recovering all weekend and I think she is finally feeling better although last night was rough, she didn't sleep well at all. Here is Izzy cuddling with Daddy in the chair.

Grandpa Don and Oliver resting before everyone got here.

Diane, Nancy, Marcia, and Isabel.

Diane's Birthday

Diane turned 50 on January 5th so we had a party at our house for her. We had people staying with us all weekend including our friends and Diane's best friends Chris and Nancy from New Hampshire. We ate, drank, and enjoyed each others company all weekend. Here is the birthday girl and Izzy.

Izzy and Auntie Gina riding the cool toy at Grandma Di's house. We call her Zoe the Zebra.

Isabel got so many new toys we are going to have to add on to our house soon! Here she is opening her stocking on Christmas morning. The drum in the picture was Tony's when he was a baby.

A happy little elf!

Daddy's little boy (Louis doesn't know he is 110 lbs.).

Grandpa Don took a little Christmas Eve nap with one of his favorties; a "pig in the blanket". Not even a piece of prime rib could rouse him.

The dogs loved opening their stockings. Louis pulled his off the fire place and opened his bone and ate it right away while Oliver licked his and savored it.

Christmas

We spent Christmas in Cook this year and we went to Fosston for the weekend so it was a week of celebrating. Isabel had a great time and she traveled very well. The dogs had a great time too and were all pooped out by the time we got home on Sunday.

10 months old

Isabel was ten months old this week and just like that she is pulling herself up on everything in the house. She stands for a long time before falling usually on her butt and sometimes on her head- ouch. She wants to stand all the time even though she can crawl really fast and we have definitely had to move a few things around the house.
