Peas

Isabel had peas for the first time and she loved them. It is kind of funny because I hate peas and I used to tell the lunch ladies at school that I was allergic to them. Tony eats pretty much anything; however, the only thing I know he isn't crazy about is peas! We are glad she likes them. I started work this week and it has been rough on all of us. Izzy is doing great at day care; Barb can't believe what a happy baby she is. Next week when school starts I will be part time so I am excited to have my afternoons with Isabel and the boys.

This is what happens when you eat too much fair food...

Isabel and Grandpa Mark eating deep fried peppers...well... she was smelling them.

What a little ham....

Fair Fun!!

We went to the state fair on Friday with Mark and Diane. We ate a lot of great food and walked many miles seeing things like the state's largest pig and a car that runs on electricity. Isabel was an angel but she was very tired on the way home and couldn't wait to get her PJ's on and into her crib. Here we are in front of the swine barn.

Garage Sale

Grandma Di and grandpa Mark came down and stayed with us this week to visit and to help host a garage sale. The sale was a bust but we still had a great time. Here is Isabel playing in the grass with Diane at the sale. She was outside from dusk till dawn and slept like a log! The only bad thing was she got her first bug bite.

We went to Fosston on Friday and Tony worked from home in the morning so we could leave earlier. I usually take Isabel with me on my morning run with the dogs and she sleeps the entire run but I left her home with Tony, and I guess she missed her morning nap. Here she is sleeping in her peaches. I went to get a wash cloth to wipe her face and when I came back this is what I found...

Izzy didn't really like applesauce.. here is her face after the first bite!

Food

Isabel started eating solid food this month and so far she really likes her veggies. She had sweet potatoes first and then squash and carrots; she loves squash the best. I have also tried a few fruits and so far peaches are her favorite although she had bananas for the first time today and she said "mmmm" when she had her first bite. It is so fun to watch her face when she tries something different. Here are a few of my favorites.

Thank goodness the Vikings usually play in the afternoons because Izzy can't stay awake past 8:00pm even if she tries! Oh well... it was only a preseason game.

Go Vikes!

Izzy is looking forward to football season and she was so excited that the Vikes had their first preseason game tonight. The only bad thing is that it didn't start until 7:00pm and she was all wiped out by the end of the first quarter! Here she is in her cheerleading outfit that grandma Di bought her.

Look at these thighs... she can jump really high and propel herself across the basement floor with these babies!

Look out Doggies!

Jessica brought over a walker for Izzy to use and she is on the go! Her first day in it she was bumping into the walls and she ran over Oliver's foot and tail. He gets out of the way fast now when he sees her coming!

Family time

This weekend was my nephew Thomas' 4th birthday so we had family in town all weekend. The weather was perfect and everyone had a great time. Here is a picture of the water slide that they had in the back yard for the kids. Izzy was too little to play on the slide but she had a great time anyway.
