The dogs loved having grandma Diane too and they are so patient with Izzy. She likes to grab ears and tails now!

Here is Isabel in a few of the many beautiful pictures that Diane took of her throughout the weekend!

Weekend Away

This weekend we had our good friends Mark and Molly Gerber's wedding to go to up in Brainerd. Tony was a groomsman and we stayed a t Breezy Point with a bunch of our college friends. It was the first time I have been away from Izzy for more than 6 hours! I cried about half way there and a little on Saturday but it was good for both of us. Grandma Diane came down and watched Izzy and the dogs for the weekend and it sounds like everything went great. I was worried about her taking a bottle but she did just fine (she still won't take it from me of course) and I had just enough milk until Sunday at noon. All-n-all it was a great weekend for everyone!

Play Date

Lori and her son Brady and Amy and her daughter Avery came over yesterday for a play date again. It is so fun to see how much they have all changed in a month's time.

Izzy likes when I paint her toes. She likes to grab them and stare at them!

Isabel had a blast with Marcia's friend Kathy at the party. They laughed until Izzy got the hiccups and couldn't laugh anymore!

Party Time

We have been very busy on the weekends with parties, weddings and visiting family and friends. This past weekend we were back in Cook for Gina and Justin's engagement party. Isabel was the "life of the party" smiling and laughing with everyone. We had a great time and the weather held out for the entire weekend.

Hot Hot Hot!

The last couple of days have been down right steamy here so Izzy has been wearing her sun gear when she is outside with me and the dogs. We have had a nice time relaxing since we have been home after the 4th and we play outside most of the time. She is perfectly happy in the stroller or in her swing in the shade while I am gardening. I am hoping to start a swimming class with her soon but the YMCA said that she has to be 6 months old so it looks like we will start after labor day. The class is called Sea Turtles; how cute!

Playtime

Isabel loves to jump in the jumperoo that auntie Jessica lent us and she also likes her new exersaucer. She's a mover and a shaker!

Cousins

Gabby and Thomas came over for a visit this week. Gabby is crawling now so it was hard to keep them together for a picture. Isabel watched Gabby in amazement as she worked her way across the floor, you could tell she was thinking "Wow, I can't wait till I can do that!"

Isabel's First Cereal

On Sunday Isabel had her first bite of rice cereal and she loved it. She loves to watch people eat and she smacks her lips as you chew; it is so cute!

Izzy and her great grandma Nelson and great grandma Miller.

July 4th

We spend the 4th of July in Fosston visiting family and friends this year. It also happened to be my 10 year reunion and also an "all school" so it was really fun to see everyone. The hard part was that Izzy and I both had a bad cold and I lost my voice on Friday so it made it hard to talk to people. Our colds lasted a full week and I felt terrible for Isabel because she couldn't blow her nose! Even though we weren't feeling well we got a chance to have a little fun : )

Playing piano with grandma Di this weekend at the lake : )

Isabel and I went to Shakopee with our friends Amy and Avery to visit our friend Lori and her son Brady. Izzy loved Brady's jumper and all of his toys!

Isabel looks fabulous in the hat Marcia bought her!

Busy... Busy

We have had a busy couple of weeks lately and it doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon! Great Grandma and Grandpa Marcia and Don, auntie Gina, and Grandma Diane came down two weekends ago and spent some time with our family. Don and Tony went to the car show in St. Paul (Don drove down his 57 Chevy) and the girls went shopping. Grandma Marcia bought Izzy an adorable hat which she proudly wears. Then last weekend we were in Cook for three days helping Gina with a garage sale. The weather was cool and rainy but we all had a great time. Tony and I met some friends for dinner and left Isabel with auntie Gina and grandma and grandpa for the first time. Izzy is 4 months old now and weighs 16 1/2 lbs. and is off the charts in height at 27 inches long! We are heading to Fosston tomorrow so I am sure we will have more to report on Sunday.
