Big girl Izzy

Izzy is learning so much these days I am truly amazed. She just turned 21 months old and she can: sing her ABC's, count to 10 (she sometimes leaves out 9), pee on her potty (at least once a day), recognize shapes and some colors such as pink, purple, blue, yellow, and green, play games like ring-around-the rosy and hide-and-seek, she can almost swim and float on her own after her second year of lessons, and many other things. Every day she surprises me with something that she understands or says. She is going to be such a good big sister; she is already talking to the baby in "mama tummy". I am so lucky to be her mommy!

Great-grandma Miller and Izzy. Grandma Miller loves Izzy's "cute little nose".

Izzy playing with Grandma Jodi and Kelly Ophus's puppy Hank. She loved him but he was terrified of her and tried to hide behind his mom's legs.

November

November was a busy month with Tony deer hunting and Thanksgiving. We finally saw some cooler weather up here and I have to say that it is nice to be done with wiping muddy paws. Louis and Oliver were not happy that they couldn't go with to Fosston but we didn't want to take any chances with the deer hunters; Louis does look like a little red fawn! Izzy loved spending time with Papa Tom and Grandma Jodi. They came and celebrating Thanksgiving with us this year. She ended up cutting a two year old molar that week so she didn't indulge as much as the rest of us but she did eat pumpkin pie!

Go Purple!!!

Isabel loves watching the Vikings with her dada and papa. She get so excited every time they raise their voices she runs in front of the TV and yells "Go Purple!!" Too bad they also seem to play at nap time...although it may be a good thing since dada and papa seem to say some bad words sometimes while watching the game!

"I Love Halloween!"

Grandpa Don and Grandma Marcia came into town with a gift of treats and a movie for Izzy. She shared her candy with "Papa Don" of course.

Izzy loves music cards especially when she gets them in the mail. Grandma Jodi and Grandpa Tom sent her a monster music card that she absolutely loved. She would open it and dance all over the house.

Playing with her friends at daycare.

Halloween

Izzy had a party at Rachel's this year for daycare and she also went trick-or-treating to a few of our friends and relatives. She would go right up to the door and say "twicktweet" and walk into people's houses and try to take her shoes off. I had to get clever about hiding her "loot" because she wanted to eat everything that she got immediately. I replaced everything in the bucket with raisins and only gave her one piece of candy a day except on Halloween night she got two. She loved answering the door when we got home and she danced until "she couldn't dance no more" after her sugar fix. She was a giraffe but we thought for the longest time she was a horse so she whinnied and neighed all over. What a fun night!

Whew! What a great trip!

There were so many cool animals at Sea World that we didn't have time to see them all. We looked at the fish through a cool tank that was on all sides, we stopped for an ice cream cone, and then Izzy had to take a nap! She fought it but she was too wore out! What a great day!

We were so lucky because it just so happened to be Sea World's Halloween "Spooktacular" event when we were there and they featured some of the Sesame Street characters. Izzy's favorites are Abby Cadaby and Elmo and Abby was there greeting people! We had to wait in line and I thought Izzy was going to have a major toddler meltdown but she did pretty well yelling above the crowd "HI ABBY!!". When it was our turn, she ran right up to her and gave her a big huge and tried to kiss her. It was all she could talk about all day!

We went to Sea World and a water park another day. Izzy's favorite was Sea World. She loved the dolphin show and when it was over she could hardly clap, all she could say was "more, more!"

Just like "da da"!

Florida

We were invited to go to Florida with Tony's grandparents and parents over MEA break this year. It was Izzy's first time flying and she talked about the "airpane" at daycare everyday before we left. It was a rocky flight there with Izzy getting sick on the plane, but other than that, she did great! She loved swimming in the pools and playing in the fountains. She was wearing 50 proof sunblock but her little Italian skin was tan the first day!

Pumpkin Patch

Izzy and I went to the cities a couple of weeks ago and we went to the pumpkin patch and animal farm again. What a difference a year makes! She was running around making animal noises feeding them food- not a big scared of losing a finger or two to a hungry donkey! We met Jess and the kids there and they all had a blast. Izzy slept all the way to Virginia on the way home.

Izzy watching Sesame Street in her cool chair that Grandma Di found.

Elmo

Izzy has discovered Sesame Street and her favorite character is Elmo. She talks about him all the time- in fact-she talks all the time now. Her daycare lady Rachel said that Izzy talks all day. She tells the other kids to "be careful" and she also knows some of her colors now. I bought her some Elmo slippers and she likes them so much she wants to take them to bed with her.

It's a messy job but that's what makes it fun!

Making Daddy's dip for the big Viking's game.

Change

Well it has been many weeks since I have updated my blog and a lot has happened in the Pascuzzi household. For those of you that don't know, I accepted a job in Orr, MN and we have moved our family to Cook, MN. Izzy and the dogs have adjusted well and Tony and I are finally feeling at home too. We are also expecting Pascuzzi Baby #2 on March 30th so it has been a fall full of changes. I am very busy working full time this year and chasing Izzy when I'm not there. Tony is working from home now and we haven't had a chance to get our house in the cities ready to sell but it is definitely in the plans. We have enjoyed spending time with Tony's family and it is also nice to be just under 3 hours from Fosston rather than 5. Izzy has been a busy girl helping me in the kitchen has much as I'll let her. Here are some pictures of her "helping".

It's been a great summer so far and we have 1 month left and there is a lot more fun to be had!

Izzy was the youngest kid at the birthday party so she got first crack at the pinata (after the birthday boy of course). She hit it on her own and cheered for everyone else. When it finally broke open she got two suckers and she was so happy she sat right down and figured out how to open one.
